duoSIL® - benefits

Silicon in plants:

  • reduces water loss thorugh cuticle transpiration
  • makes plant less susceptible to mechanical damages
  • increases shelf life of fruits and vegetables
  • improves plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, such as diseases, pests, unfavorable conditions

Results of molecular studies:

Conducted morecular studies show, that duoSIL® increases expression of genes related to:

  • production of PR proteins,
  • synthesis of osmoprotectant,
  • removing heavy metals and toxic compounds from plant cells,
  • plant tolerance to drought and cold stress
  • synthesis of cellulose and xyloglucan – compounds responsible for rebuilding and building the cell wall
leaf resistant to drought and frosts

Increased plant tolerance to drought and low temperatures and less susceptibility to pathogen penetration.
